Schools are becoming more segregated by income, and the consequences for STEM education will be dire. Poor children in the United States are more and more likely to attend schools where most of their peers are lacking as well, and this dynamic can have devastating effects on education.
STEM Education is the Future
Increasing access to STEM fields can create career opportunities. Yet many students, especially those from lower-income backgrounds, find the high-stakes exams in courses necessary for STEM success to be stressful and anxiety provoking.
College and Career readiness are an essential part of ensuring youth become self-sufficient adults. Our programs seek to increase the number of youth that attend college and have meaningful careers by providing STEM classes, SAT training, college counseling, college tours and internships.
